Martha's Vineyard Hospital in Oak Bluffs, MA seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care in procedural clinics. You will assist clinicians, document in the EHR, and help manage patient intake, vitals, and workflow according to established standards to ensure safe, high-quality care.

You will participate in team-based care, coordinate with providers, and help prepare for procedures while maintaining accurate records and patient communication throughout visits.

Responsabilités

• Anticipates needs of patient visits to optimize provider time
• Ensures necessary paperwork is completed and results are ready before visits
• Completes patient forms for department (e.g. workers' comp, school/college exam forms)
• Manages incoming documents and processes fax/scan per protocol
• Verifies patients using two identifiers and monitors schedules for timely visits
• Obtains vital signs per SOP and records intake accurately
• Reviews preventative health needs and places orders per SOP
• Updates medication lists, allergies, histories, smoking status, and social determinants of health
• Demonstrates proficiency in EHR and documents information accurately
• Prioritizes tasks based on patient care needs
• Communicates with patients/family and relays test results per physician instructions
• Documents patient telephone conversations and relays questions to the provider
• Participates in team-based care and patient education initiatives
• Prepares and assists with office-based procedures and sterilizes rooms per protocol
• Administers immunizations when applicable and ensures vaccine documentation and inventory
