Job summary

SSM Health in St. Charles, MO is seeking a Medical Assistant (or Medical Assistant Certified/Registered) to support the Urology department. Schedule is Monday–Friday, day shift with no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (or 10 years of work experience).
• BLS Health Care Provider (HCP) certification required or pending.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or CCMA or CMAC or other recognized medical assisting credential listed in requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists with treatments ordered by provider under supervision by provider or RN.
• Interviews patients, records vital signs, and prepares treatment rooms for examination.
• Performs basic clerical duties: answering phones, scheduling, filing, and maintaining records.
• Manages supplies: ordering and stocking, keeps environment clean and orderly.
• Documents encounters, orders, and prescriptions as directed by the provider.
• Maintains safety and responds to emergencies as needed.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
