NKC Health Platte City clinic is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support efficient patient flow and compassionate care in a busy primary care setting.

You will prepare patients, assist providers, manage tests, and help with documentation, scheduling, and patient communication, with a consistent day shift 9am-5pm.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited medical assisting program.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through an accredited certification organization.
• 2 years of experience in a physician’s office setting, preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association.
• Basic office skills, patient centered mindset, excellent time management and organization skills; ability to multitask and work in fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers to maximize patient volume by preparing patients for visit, administering medications, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and returning patient calls in a timely manner.
• Complete physician orders and facilitate care, which may include phoning patient prescriptions, scheduling labs and diagnostic tests; provide instructions regarding tests and treatments; process referrals and follow up on reports.
• Maintain medical records and ensure documentation is complete and accurate in systems and charts.
• Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and compliant with safety standards; monitor logs and inventories.
• Perform administrative duties such as greeting patients, registration, scheduling, pre-certification of tests, processing insurance forms, and entering charges.
