Job summary

NKC Health Primary Care - Kearney is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient flow and care delivery in a busy clinic. You will assist providers, prepare patients for visits, administer medications when needed, and help with diagnostic procedures.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited medical assisting program, certified or registered, with BLS and strong organizational skills. Experience in a physician’s office is preferred, and you’ll join a team that values

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited medical assisting program.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through an accredited certification organization.
• 2 years of experience in a physician’s office setting, preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association.
• Basic office skills, patient centered mindset, excellent time management and organization skills; ability to multitask and work in fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers to maximize patient volume by preparing patients for visit, administering medications, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and returning patient calls in a timely manner.
• Completes physician orders and facilitates care, including phoning prescriptions, scheduling labs and diagnostic tests, and providing instructions to patients.
• Maintains medical records and ensures all required documentation is available in the medical record.
• Greet patients, registration, scheduling, pre-certification of tests, processing insurance forms, and entering ambulatory care charges.
• Keeps examination rooms clean and stocked; ensures compliance with safety standards and regulatory logs.
