Job summary
Quality Correctional Health Care (QCHC) is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for full-time day shift in Hamilton County. Under supervision, CMA, RMA or CCMA provides nursing care to inmates and supports physicians per CMA scope.
The role emphasizes vital signs, patient history, medication administration, documentation, and adherence to correctional protocols. Benefits include health insurance, a 401K match, and opportunities for professional growth within a mission-driven correctional health
Qualifications
- Valid CMA, RMA or CCMA certification.
- Minimum 1 year clinical CMA experience; correctional setting preferred.
- Current CPR certification required.
Responsibilities
- Take and document vital signs for inmates.
- Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
- Obtain patient history and assist with examinations.
- Administer medications per nursing standards and regulations.
- Document patient information accurately and timely.
- Ensure confidentiality and adherence to safety standards.
