Job summary

Department of Corrections in Aberdeen, WA is seeking a Medical Assistant – Certified (MA-C) to support Stafford Creek Corrections Center. The MA-C will work under the supervision of licensed clinicians to provide direct patient care and assist in clinical operations within the medical department.

The role requires WA MA-C licensure, outpatient MA experience, BLS/First Aid, and proficient use of Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted WA MA-C licensure.
• Outpatient clinic MA experience.
• AHA BLS and First Aid certification.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel.
• Willing to learn DOC specific programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of provider or RN.
• Perform vitals, injections, EKG, and basic labs.
• Document in medical records and maintain PHI confidentiality.
• Assist with patient flow and exam room readiness.
• Carry out orders and respond to emergencies.
• Support quality improvement processes.
