Job summary

Wellstar Health System, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinicians in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will perform clinical and administrative tasks, gather vitals, prepare patients for exams, assist during treatments, and coordinate tests with the care team.

You will also handle front office duties, chart patient information, and ensure patient safety and comfort while delivering compassionate care to diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED General or Other / Certificate Medical Assisting.
• English language fluency for patient interactions.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced clinical setting with attention to detail.
• Active certifications (BLS) and CMA/NCMA/RMA/CCMA preferred or required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and records vital signs and patient information.
• Prepares patients for exams and assists during treatments.
• Coordinates tests and follow-up care and documents in medical record.
• Performs front and back-office duties including registration and lab tasks.
• Provides patient-centered care while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Operates x-ray procedures as directed and maintains equipment logs.
