Job summary

CHAS Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care at assigned clinics. You will greet patients, prepare them for providers, perform phlebotomy, injections, and assist with procedures while maintaining safety and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum WA-approved MA training and certification within 120 days of hire are required, with EHR experience preferred and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care in the community.

Qualifications

• Completion of medical assistant training through WA-approved program or ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited college program.
• Certification through AAMA, NHA or NCCT required within 120 days of hire; WA credential if applicable.
• Experience in a community health clinic and with EHR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and escorts to exam rooms; communicates delays.
• Prepares patients for providers and supports efficient flow.
• Performs phlebotomy and laboratory procedures as directed.
• Administers injections and immunizations; documents accurately.
• Maintains clean, stocked exam rooms and sterilizes instruments.
• Assists providers with procedures and patient education.
• Manages prescriptions and patient referrals; documents accordingly.
• Adheres to safety protocols and PPE; handles sharps and biohazards.
