Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of medical assistant training through an apprenticeship program registered and approved by WA L&I or ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited college program.
• Certification through AAMA, NHA or NCCT required within 120 days of hire.
• Washington locations require Medical Assistant - Certified credential issued by WA Dept of Health.
• Experience in community health clinic and EHR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort to exam rooms; inform patients of delays.
• Prepare patients for providers and maintain efficient patient flow.
• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory procedures as directed.
• Administer injections and immunizations.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Assist providers with procedures and patient education.
• Obtain prescription refills under provider direction.
• Manage referrals and required documentation.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE use.
• Answer phones, schedule patients, and support care team.
