The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) provides multi-skilled clinical support, delivering direct and indirect patient care under the provider’s supervision, in accordance with standards of excellence and quality. Responsibilities include assisting with patient assessments, documenting needs, care planning, and administering medications within scope and guidelines.
Active Medical Assisting certification from recognized agencies is required. BLS certification is preferred upon hire and required prior to independent patient care.
High School/GED is required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
Externship or clinical training preferred; 1 year of recent Medical Assisting experience is also preferred.
