Overview

The Certified Medical Assistant / Registered Medical Assistant performs routine administrative and patient care support duties in a medical practice to assist medical and/or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients and ensures that the office runs smoothly.
Qualifications

License/Certifications:
CMA/RMA w/90days - Varies; Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) (ARMA) - American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA); Certified Medical Assistant (NCCT) - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA); Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) (AAH) - American Allied Health (AAH); Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) (AMT) - American Medical Technologists (AMT); Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) - National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP); Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - National Healthcareer Association (NHA)

Education:

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of routine direct patient care duties to assist medical and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients. Maintains patient care environment and supplies to ensure patient privacy and safety. Work alongside another CMA to observe injections of immunizations, PPD testing, nebulizer treatments, oral medication administration to patients age 0-21. Obtain vital signs on patients age 0-21 to include weight, height, blood pressure, pulse ox, pulse. Assist with in office procedures such as circumcisions Complete medication reconciliation in office of all medication and over the counter medications that the patient may be taking Assist with physical forms

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $17.33per hour - $28.07per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
