Job summary

ICFAI is seeking a Certified Medical Office Assistant to support the delivery of primary health care and patient care management under physician supervision. Duties include nursing care support, front office and clinical tasks, and access to patient health information.

The role requires RMA or CMA certification, high school diploma, and strong clerical skills. Travel to multiple Iredell Physician Network clinics is included in the schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
• Medical experience required, with certification planned within six months of hire.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire or willingness to obtain.
• Clerical experience including scheduling, payments, billing/coding, medical records and office equipment knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, multi-tasking and customer service.

Has full access to patient health information. Schedule: M-F 8a-5p As Needed Location: The Certified Medical Assistant Float will travel between all of the Iredell Physician Network clinics based on a schedule. Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Must be a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
• Medical experience required, with the expectation that certification will be obtained through the hospital-sponsored program within six months of hire.
• Working knowledge of all aspects of the medical practice and medical care including examination, diagnostic and treatment procedures; equipment and instruments; safety hazards, and precautions. Training in venipuncture and the ability to perform venipuncture accurately preferred.
• Clerical experience including, but not limited to, scheduling, payments, billing/coding, medical records, and a working knowledge of all aspects of medical office equipment. Excellent computer skills including knowledge of business software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to pay close attention to details, multi-task, and excellent customer service skills.
• Current CPR certification or willing to complete within 30 days of hire.

Physical Demands

• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
