Job Summary

The CMA works closely with physicians to deliver high-quality patient care, including updating health records, measuring vital signs, and preparing treatment rooms.

Essential Functions
  • Greeting patients and providing excellent customer service
  • Reviewing and updating patient charts with accurate information
  • Measuring vital signs such as pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and height
  • Performing clerical duties like inventory checks, tracking referrals, and answering phones
  • Resolving problems promptly and efficiently
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Active Medical Assisting certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, etc.) from recognized organizations
  • BLS certification (required at hire for some locations)
  • One year of healthcare experience (preferred)
  • Clerical experience in a physician’s office (preferred)
Skills & Abilities
  • Problem-solving, basic computer skills, and excellent communication
  • Professional interaction with staff and patients
