Job Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant works closely with physicians to deliver excellent patient care, including updating health records, measuring vital signs, and preparing treatment rooms.

Essential Functions
  • Greeting patients and providing excellent customer service
  • Preparing and reviewing patient charts for upcoming visits
  • Measuring vital signs
  • Performing clerical duties such as inventory checks and answering phones
  • Resolving problems promptly
Qualifications
  • High School Degree or GED
  • Active Medical Assisting certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NRCMA, NCMA, NCCT) or Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE)
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • One year of healthcare experience (preferred)
  • Two years of clerical experience (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Role: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • License in the relevant state
  • BLS certification
  • One year of clinical experience (preferred)
  • Ability to provide appropriate care to all ages
  • Strong organizational skills
