Job summary

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Cardiology is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support cardiology patients under the direct supervision of a physician.

This full-time days position runs 8:00am to 5:00pm with a salary range of $20.00-$23.00 per hour. Eligible applicants may receive a $1,500 sign-on/retention bonus.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LPN school required or CMA program graduation.
• CMA certification preferred.
• Prior clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain Vermont State Practical Nurse License or CMA certification by date of employment.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized medical care under the direct supervision of a physician.
• Assist in cardiology clinic duties and patient flow as needed.

The Certified Medical Assistant or LPN inthe Practice is responsible for providing individualized medical care under the direct supervision of a physician.

Requirements: Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing required or a successful graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program required. CMA certification preferred.

Priorclinical nursing experience preferred. Ability to obtain a valid Vermont State Practical Nurse License or CMA certification by date of employment required. Health Care Provider BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
