About the Role
Job Summary

Primarily responsible for utilizing the nursing process in providing healthcare to assigned patients within existing standards of care. Responsibilities include office procedures related to patient care and front office duties for efficient operation.

Minimum Job Qualifications
  • Active Registry or Certification as a Medical Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Job Qualifications
  • Experience as lab tech or with radiology equipment preferred.
  • One to two years related experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Clerical and clinical skills.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Perform initial patient assessments and document findings.
  • Establish care plans in collaboration with physicians.
  • Administer and document medications accurately.
  • Follow infection control protocols.
  • Perform radiological or lab procedures if credentialed.
  • Provide radiation safety and x-ray reports.
  • Document QA and maintenance of equipment.
  • Record lab and radiology results.
  • Assist patients via telephone and file charts.
  • Record visits and charges accurately.
Physical Demands
  • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Carry up to 20 lbs occasionally.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and pushing.
  • Work involves reading, writing, reasoning, talking, keyboarding, and driving.
