The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs clinical support procedures including, but not limited to: assisting physicians or physician's assistants, blood draws, injections, lab tests, rooming patients, taking vital signs, and utilizing the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, including reviewing and preparing patient appointment encounters and completing referral forms.

This is a full-time position at Jaffrey Family Medicine.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients in getting to and from exam rooms, prepare for exams, and assist during procedures.
  • Assist physicians in examinations, including taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and document patient information according to established procedures, including referral forms, lab slips, and other documentation.
  • Perform basic medical procedures such as blood draws, collecting laboratory specimens, and conducting diagnostic tests.
  • Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and properly equipped, adhering to infection control policies.
  • Provide compassionate care to ensure patient comfort and well-being.
  • Ensure an inclusive healthcare environment by providing exceptional care to patients of all backgrounds, ethnicities, genders, ages, abilities, and socioeconomic statuses.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Maintain certification and registration as a CMA or LPN.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Have a working knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment.
