We are hiring a part-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at LGH Podiatry in Lancaster. The position involves supporting clinical activities, patient care, and coordination within our healthcare team.

Location & Hours

Location: LGH Podiatry, 2108 Harrisburg Pike, Ste 329, Lancaster, PA

Hours: Part-time, Monday to Friday, varied days, no holidays or weekends. Travel to other locations (Parkesburg, Kissel Hill, Norlanco) may be required.

Responsibilities

1. Provide clinical support to patients under supervision, including pediatric to geriatric care.
2. Prepare patients for visits, administer injections, and provide observations to providers.
3. Prepare and administer medications per protocols, assist with procedures and minor surgeries.
4. Perform Point of Care Testing (e.g., hearing, flu, urine, strep tests).
5. Manage wound care, provide clinical advice, and handle prescription refills.
6. Maintain exam rooms, clean instruments, and support outreach and care coordination activities.
7. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and daily team huddles.
8. Ensure confidentiality and professional communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution (AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, RMA, or NAHP). If not certified, must complete training before hire and obtain certification within 6 months.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license for regional positions.
• In good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal/state insurance programs.

Credentials & Education

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant.
• High school diploma or GED.
