Certified Medical Assistant/CMA – Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic – Full-Time, Days

Fast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled CMA

Sign-On for Eligible New Hires

Work location: 8440 Walnut Hill Lane, Suite 610, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Travel: 25% to surrounding clinics as needed (mileage reimbursement provided)

Here’s What You Need:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  2. CMA - Current Medical Assistant Certification (required)
  3. New Grads Welcome with Completed Onsite Externship
  4. 1 year Medical Assistant experience (preferred)
  5. ACLS or BCLS (preferred)
  6. Basic computer skills using medical management application systems
  7. Effectively communicate with staff and patients
  8. Thorough knowledge of the meaning and use of medical terminology and abbreviations
  9. Demonstrates sound judgement in emergency situations
  10. Takes appropriate action in urgent circumstances
  11. Maintains a positive, customer-focused attitude toward staff and patients
  12. Possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
What You Will Do:
  1. Delivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process.
  2. Performs general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
  3. Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider.
  4. Obtains and records vital signs including, but not limited to: blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.
  5. Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician.
  6. Escalates non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns to the Nurse Manager or healthcare provider(s).
  7. Ensures safety checklists/quality controls are completed as required.
  8. May perform other duties as assigned by Nurse Manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s).
