Responsibilities

Responsible for providing clinical care within the medical practice, supporting and directed by the physician. Assist in daily office operations to ensure quality patient care. Clinical duties include patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or GED

Licenses & Certifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant
  • Healthcare Provider (CPR)
Qualifications
  • Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with patients, families, staff, and physicians.
  • Certified as a Medical Assistant by AAMA or registered Medical Assistant by AMT; certification from NCCT or NHA accepted. MA or nursing school experience may be considered.
  • Ability to understand medical records, physician's orders, and communicate medical information effectively.
  • Discipline to adhere to clinical standards.
  • Preferred: experience performing x-rays and EKGs.
  • Six months of experience preferred.
  • Note: BLS certification within 90 days.
