Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at Ephrata Urgent Care for a part-time position in the Ephrata area.

Location:

Ephrata Urgent Care, 895 E. Main St. Ephrata, PA

Hours:

Part-time, 2 - 12 hour shifts per week. Must be available for on-boarding for weekday training (initial first week). Travel required for on-boarding, yearly competency requirements training, and occasional support to other Urgent Care Locations.

Summary:
  • Provide clinical support services to patients under supervision of a provider or licensed nurse.
  • Patient care for all age groups: pediatric to geriatric.
  • Prepare patients, administer injections, medications, and assist with procedures.
  • Perform Point of Care Testing and wound care.
  • Provide clinical advice via phone or electronic correspondence.
  • Assist with test tracking, supply management, and patient outreach.
  • Participate in performance improvement and daily huddles.
  • Ensure confidentiality and maintain a positive patient experience.
  • Travel regionally as needed and assist at new sites.
  • Perform front office responsibilities as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution (AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, RMA, or NAHP). If not certified, must complete training prior to hire and obtain certification within 6 months.
  • CPR Certification (American Heart Association BLS) within 30 days of hire.
  • Valid driver’s license for regional positions.
  • In good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal/state insurance programs.
Credentials:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
  • Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
Education or Experience:
  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
