Job Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant works closely with primary care physicians to deliver high-quality patient care, including updating health records, measuring vital signs, and preparing treatment rooms.

Essential Functions

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting patients respectfully
• Review and verify patient charts, test results, and reports
• Measure vital signs such as pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and height
• Perform clerical duties like checking inventory, tracking referrals, and answering phones
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Active Medical Assisting certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NRCMA, NCMA, or NCCT)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required at hire for some locations
• Experience: 1 year healthcare experience preferred; 2 years clerical experience in a physician’s office preferred
• Skills: Problem-solving, computer skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
