Job Opportunity: Certified Medical Assistant at Adult Outpatient Pavilion

Join our OBGYN team at the Adult Outpatient Pavilion! Our clinic features a diverse team including CMAs, LPNs, RNs, Sonographers, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, and Certified Nurse Midwives dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered care. We serve patients across the lifespan for GYN health, pregnancy, postpartum, and have specialties in family planning, addiction medicine, high-risk needs, and abortion services. Our hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, with no weekends, holidays, nights, or on-call shifts.

Position Overview

The Certified Medical Assistant provides direct, age-specific care to patients based on medical orders and the care plan under the physician's supervision.

Qualifications
  • Licensure/Certification: Current Medical Assistant Certification from a recognized national body (e.g., AAMA, AMT, NHA, ARMA).
  • CPR Certification: AHA BLS HCP or equivalent.
Experience
  • Required: At least 1 year of medical assistant experience within the last 3 years if not a recent graduate; or no experience if graduated from an accredited medical assisting program.
  • Experience with computers and software such as Microsoft Office.
  • Preferred: 2-3 years of experience as a CMA; experience in an academic healthcare setting.
Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program (CAAHEP or ABHES).
Additional Requirements
  • Works under supervision, providing patient care, emotional support, and problem solving.
  • Must work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with schedules determined by management.
  • Physical ability to lift 20-50 lbs, stand, sit, bend, walk, climb, and reach.
  • Strong cognitive skills including recall, reasoning, problem-solving, and communication.
