Ensures patients and patient care areas are prepared for examinations and office procedures. Assists physicians with all aspects of direct patient care. Performs procedures and other tasks involved in patient care.

Qualifications: Medical Assistant certification by AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT is required. Must be a graduate of a postsecondary medical assisting education program accredited by recognized agencies such as the National Healthcare Association, the American Medical Association's Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation, the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, or other agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The program must include courses in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, medical laboratory techniques, and clinical experience. Computer proficiency is required; use of electronic health records (Epic preferred) is advantageous. A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience is preferred.
