Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct nursing care in a physician-led medical office. You will assist providers, maintain a clean, safe environment, and help assess patient needs and health plans while ensuring accurate chart documentation.

The role requires completing an accredited Medical Assisting Program or possessing substantial related experience, CPR certification, and preferred MA certification. Sign-on bonus available for new hires.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED with completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program, or equivalent work experience.
• CPR certification is required.
• Three years of relevant work experience can substitute formal MA training.
• Certification as Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Excellent documentation and patient care skills are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct nursing care in a medical office under physician guidance.
• Assist physicians and other providers and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist in assessment of patient needs and health plan.
• Complete documentation in the patient chart per policy.
• Prepare equipment and assist with exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Coordinate tests and specialized consultations as ordered.

Educación

High school diploma or GED plus Accredited Medical Assisting Program

Three years of relevant work experience in lieu of program

CPR Certification

Preferred: Medical Assistant certification

Medical office position responsible for providing direct nursing care in a medical office setting under the direction of a physician, assists medical providers, and maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with the policies and procedures of the practice.
Assists in the assessment of patient needs and health plan.
Completes all necessary documentation in the patient's medical record in accordance with practice's charting policy.
Prepares equipment and assists physicians with medical treatments, exams and medical procedures.
Arranges for specialized consultations and appointments for testing as ordered by the physicians

Education

• Required: High school diploma/GED required with the completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program.

Certification

• Required: CPR Certification
• Preferred: Medical Assistant

Experience

• Required: Must have a minimum of one year of relevant work experience or three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program
