Job summary

UT Health Quitman is hiring a day shift, full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Mineola, TX. The CMA will perform administrative and clinical duties under physician supervision, including patient intake, vital signs, and prep for examinations.

Ideal candidates hold a High School diploma and current CMA or RMA licensure, with a preference for 6 months of clinic experience and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CMA or RMA licensure as a credential.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician.
• Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.
• Clinical duties may include rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
