Job summary

KMG Healthcare is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for our Corporate Health Center in Foster City, CA. This full-time CMA will support patient exams, perform phlebotomy, vital signs, and EKG, and assist at the front desk.

We require BLS certification, EPIC EMR familiarity, and OSHA knowledge. Experience in primary care or occupational health is a plus; Quest Quantum experience is a plus as well.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant with primary care, occupational health, or emergency/acute care experience is a plus.
• Strong phlebotomy skills and familiarity with clinical procedures.
• Experience with Quest Quantum is a plus; EPIC EMR preferred.
• Current hands-on BLS for healthcare providers (AHA/ARC) is required.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace health concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in examination and treatment of patients.
• Assists with administrative tasks and front desk support.
• Measures vital signs and records results as directed.
• Organizes and maintains patient charts and filing system.
• Schedules appointments and manages reminder calls.

Job description

Immediate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) opportunity at our Corporate Health Center in Foster City, CA.

Pay Rate: $27.00/hr

Work Schedule:

• 7:30am - 4:30pm (Monday - Friday)
• 40 hours per week

Contract Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: 12/28/26 (possible extension)

Responsibilities:

• Assists in examination and treatment of patients
• Assist with certain administrative tasks and provide assistance at the front desk
• Measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information as directed.
• Organizes and maintains a filing system for patient charts, including filing and pulling charts.
• Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into appointment book and conducts reminder calls to all patients.
• Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests
• Performs phlebotomy and prepares specimens for lab pickup.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant with prior primary care, occupational health or emergency/acute care experience a plus.
• Strong phlebotomy skills
• Experience with Quest Quantum is a plus
• Current hands on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for health care providers is required.
• Knowledge and experience with EPIC - Electronic Medical Records preferred.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred
