We are currently hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for our OB/GYN practice in Eatontown, NJ.

Under the guidance of Axia Women’s Health protocols and physicians, the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) engages with patients by assisting with care, recording critical information, and providing necessary information to help patients benefit from our services.

Essential Functions:

• Follow OSHA guidelines and infection control protocols, prepare exam rooms, clean and sterilize equipment, and maintain sterilizers.
• Assist patients to exam/procedure rooms, including transfers and dressing assistance.
• Accurately record patient medical history, vital signs, symptoms, and medications; scan reports into EMR.
• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection as needed.
• Assist providers with procedures and screenings.
• Relay instructions and information to patients clearly.
• Complete forms and requisitions for accurate records and billing.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

• Flexibility to work at satellite locations as needed.

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Current national certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA).
• CPR certification required.
• At least 1 year of recent medical assistant experience or internship.
• OB/GYN or Women’s Health experience preferred.
• Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR beneficial.
