Job summary

Amarillo Diagnostic Clinic is seeking a day-shift, full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Amarillo, TX to join our clinical team. You will provide superior patient care and support both clinical and administrative tasks under the physician or APP supervision.

Required: high school diploma or GED, graduation from an accredited CMA program, active CMA or RMA certification, EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant Certified (CMA) provide superior patient care and perform both clinical and administrative tasks that support patients in a clinic-based environment as part of a care team led by the physician and /or advanced practice provider.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist school/program.
• Current national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
• Basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements

• Associate’s degree.
• Prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting supporting patient care.
