Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant in Rockford, IL to perform delegated clinical and administrative duties in both clinical and front office settings. You will support patient care under physician/provider direction and help ensure efficient flow of the practice.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED plus a Medical Assistant training program, or equivalent CMA experience, and current CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant training program completed.
• OR equivalent: at least 6 months CMA experience.
• Current CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA or equivalent certification.
• Preferred: experience with electronic health records and phlebotomy.
• BLS certification may be required in Rural Health Clinic settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated clinical and administrative duties as per Medical Assistant program.
• Provide clerical support in both clinical and front-office settings.
• Support care delivery under physician/provider direction.
