Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe quality/cost effective service and care for the people within the practice population.

Education must include pharmacology and medication administration; CMA/CCMA/RMA or equivalent certification must be obtained within six months of hire, with an education agreement signed. Previous medical office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program; program must include pharmacology and medication administration.
• Certification/registry must be obtained by the last day of the sixth month of hire; acceptable: CMA, CCMA, RMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, NAHP, AAHP, ARMA, etc.
