Job summary

VillageMD in Houston seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care and create a positive patient experience. You will welcome patients, prepare them for visits, and communicate the services they will receive with clarity.

Responsibilities include point-of-care tests, EKGs, phlebotomy, vital signs, and assisting with medications under provider direction. Current BLS and CMA preferred; HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy and vital signs assessment experience preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred; BLS required.
• Excellent communication and patient-service orientation.
• Experience in primary care or urgent care settings is a plus.

• Perform point-of-care tests and EKGs as ordered.
• Collect vital signs, histories and screenings.
• Prepare patients, room and supplies for visits and examinations.
