Job summary

AdventHealth in Brandon, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time daytime schedule. You will commute to Riverview 2x monthly, prepare patients, document results, and support clinic operations in a fast-paced setting.

Required licenses include BLS, CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, and CMAC certifications with HS diploma. Prior medical office experience is preferred and strong computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health care field and medical terminology is required.
• Knowledge of chronic disease management is required.
• Ability to utilize internal and external resources.
• Experience with computers is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and equipment for treatment and document results.
• Initiate testing and document results in the practice’s system.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and safety policies.
• Travel as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.

Job Description: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, will commute to 9320 US 301 Riverview, FL 2x a month

Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.

Stays up to date and familiar with all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

Maintains education requirements for the position and demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and written tests.

Ensures efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment, initiating testing, and documenting results in the practice’s designated system.

Maintains OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance, following safety processes and policies.
