Job summary

UNC-Chapel Hill's Adams School of Dentistry seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery clinic. The CMA will obtain and document clinical information, assist with patient flow, and coordinate care with providers.

A sign-on bonus of $2,000 is available and paid in two installments within 12 months of hire, contingent on eligibility. The ideal candidate holds CMA certification (AAMA), has experience with electronic health records, and can communicate

Qualifications

• Must have CMA certification (AAMA).
• Experience coordinating patient information and assessments.
• Ability to document clinical information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Support medical and ambulatory patient care needs in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery clinic.
• Obtain, review, and document clinical information (chief complaints, vital signs, medications, allergies, histories).
• Coordinate with providers for review and follow-up; support continuity of care and patient education.
