Job summary

Orlando Health Physician Associates is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to perform patient care under the direction of the physician or APP in an ambulatory setting. The location is 9964 University Blvd, Orlando, FL 32817, with hours Monday–Friday, 7:45AM–5:00PM.

Responsibilities include data collection, patient preparation, assisting during exams, documentation, and coordinating scheduling for tests and consults.

Qualifications

• Must maintain current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training or 1 year MA experience
• Active MA certifications may be required per agency guidelines

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient data through interview and observation
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination
• Assists the physician or APP during examination and procedures
• Documents patient data, treatments, and education per policies
• Manages scheduling information for specialty testing and consultations
• Uses EMR to enter orders under provider direction
• Maintains compliance with Orlando Health policies and infection control standards
• Supports reception, scheduling, and discharge of patients
