Job summary

Allergy Partners in Burke, VA is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to join our patient-centered team. The CMA will support clinicians, take vital signs, prepare patients, and ensure smooth clinical workflows.

You will perform allergy prick testing and spirometry, maintain supplies, document care in EMR, and coordinate referrals and tests. A CMA/RMA certification and EMR familiarity are required; prior medical practice experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in a medical practice preferred.
• Understanding of OSHA guidelines for ambulatory practices.
• Familiarity with medical record documentation standards.
• CMA/RMA certification or ABR-OE required.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and escorts them to exam rooms; prepares for exam or treatment; takes vital signs.
• Provides assistance to physicians when requested.
• Performs allergy prick testing and/or intradermal testing as ordered.
• Performs spirometry and other breathing tests as ordered.
• Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for testing and treatment.
• Documents assessments, care, and patient status in EMR; communicates with providers.
• Assists with referrals and insurance authorization as directed.
• Maintains clinical supply stock and medication samples.
