Job summary

Allergy Partners in Vienna, VA seeks a Medical Assistant to join a compassionate allergy and asthma care team. You will support providers, take vitals, assist with testing, and help manage patient flow while maintaining accurate documentation in the EMR.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of medical office experience, understands OSHA guidelines, and can communicate clearly with patients and staff. CMA/RMA certification is preferred, and a strong commitment to patient care is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a medical practice.
• Understanding of OSHA guidelines for ambulatory practices.
• Knowledge of medical record documentation standards and medical coding for billing.
• Comfortable using email and Internet applications.
• Good communication with physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and escorts them from the waiting room to exam rooms; prepares patients for exam or treatment; takes vital signs.
• Provides assistance to physicians when requested.
• Performs allergy prick testing and/or intradermal testing as ordered by physician.
• Performs Spirometry and other breathing tests as ordered.
• Completes appropriate documentation in patient’s EMR and coordinates referrals.
