Great River Health Systems in West Burlington, IA is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the Surgical Specialists Clinic. This full-time role (40 hours/week) offers a starting wage from $20.78/hour, with Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm schedules.

Responsibilities include patient care, pre-certifications, record-keeping in EMR, and assisting physicians. Requirements: CMA certification, graduation from an accredited MA program, and 1–3 years in a medical office are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant required.
• Graduation from an accredited MA program required.
• 1–3 years medical office experience preferred.
• BLS & First Aid within 60 days required.
• Iowa Mandatory Reporter training within 180 days required.
• HS Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with office procedures and direct patient care.
• Take and record vital signs, histories, and measurements.
• Prepare patients for exams and administer medications as directed.
• Draw blood and process specimens; prepare for testing.
• Schedule appointments and manage insurance forms and payments.
