A leading clinic in Lexington is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join their patient care team. The role involves assisting physicians, performing patient care activities, and maintaining the nursing unit's operation. Ideal candidates should have formal training, CPR certification, and experience in family practice.
The Certified Medical Assistant functions as a member of the patient care team, contributing to the health management of patients. They perform a variety of patient care activities and supportive services for clinic patients, often assisting physicians and working under the supervision of the Patient Care Manager. The CMA maintains primary responsibility for technical procedures and the operation and care of the nursing unit within the department.
Must be able to move, position oneself, remain stationary, and negotiate steps for up to eight hours daily. Capable of lifting, moving, and transporting patients, equipment, and supplies. Requires good motor coordination, manual dexterity, articulate speech, the ability to read and understand orders, and visual acuity.
