SUMMARY:
The Certified Medical Assistant functions as a member of the patient care team, contributing to patient health management. They perform a variety of patient care activities and supportive services for Clinic patients, often assisting physicians and working under the supervision of the Patient Care Manager. The CMA maintains primary responsibility for technical procedures and the operation and care of the nursing unit within the department.
