SIGN ON BONUS: $2000

SUMMARY:

The Certified Medical Assistant functions as a member of the patient care team, contributing to patient health management. They perform a variety of patient care activities and supportive services for Clinic patients, often assisting physicians and working under the supervision of the Patient Care Manager. The CMA maintains primary responsibility for technical procedures and the operation and care of the nursing unit within the department.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Formal training, likely indicated by certification from an accredited medical assistant program
• Current CPR certification
• At least two years of broad experience, with an emphasis in family practice

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to move, position self, remain stationary, and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day
• Capability to lift, move, and transport patients, equipment, and supplies
• Good motor coordination and manual dexterity
• Articulate speech and the ability to read and understand orders
• Visual acuity
