Job summary

Kahu Malama Nurses is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant in Honokaa, HI to support a growing healthcare team. The role prioritizes patient care and efficient patient flow, utilizing the electronic medical record for documentation within the nursing scope of practice.

The candidate should have a Medical Assistant Certification and CPR/First Aid, with preferred experience in ambulatory care settings. Full-time on-site schedule with 8:00am–5:00pm or 8:00am–7:00pm options.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Previous medical assistant/back office experience preferred.
• Experience in ambulatory care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize patient care and manage patient flow for maximum efficiency and optimum care provision.
• Demonstrate appropriate utilization of the electronic medical record to document care within the nursing scope of practice.
• Knowledge of ambulatory patient care, electronic medical record, and appropriate documentation.
