Job summary

Tenet Healthcare in York, SC is seeking a Medical Office Assistant to provide direct nursing care in a physician-led setting, assist providers, and maintain a clean, safe environment per practice policies. You will assess patient needs, document in medical records, prepare equipment, and arrange consultations for testing ordered by physicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program.
• CPR Certification required.
• Preferred: Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a medical office setting under physician direction.
• Assist medical providers and maintain a clean, safe environment in accordance with practice policies.
• Assess patient needs and health plans.
• Complete documentation in the patient's medical record per charting policy.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians with treatments, exams and procedures.
• Arrange for specialized consultations and testing when ordered by physicians.
