Job summary

Primary Care Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to foster a friendly, confidential environment for Veterans. You will interview patients, record vital signs, and assist providers during examinations in a daytime clinic.

Requirements include a Medical Assistant certificate, current MA certification, and two years of clinical ops experience. Proficiency in MS Office and Basic Life Support are expected, with a focus on high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate high-quality customer service.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant certificate program.
• Current MA certification required.
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• Two years of continuous clinical operations or medical office experience post externship.
• Life Support certification (American Heart Association) renewed annually.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs, recording information in the electronic medical record.
• Obtain medical histories and verify patient information.
• Prepare, assist, and complete forms accurately.
• Support patient care delivery and assist providers during exams and treatments.
• Take vital signs and perform ancillary tests as certified.
• Collect lab specimens and submit results to providers.
• Schedule clinic appointments and manage check-in/out and reminders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a MA, you will be responsible for providing a friendly, welcoming, and confidential environment for our Veterans who have served our country valiantly. We are seeking healthcare professionals who are driven and committed to ensuring the health and well-being of our nation's Veterans.

• Office hours are Mon - Fri 8:00am to 4:30pm.
• No evenings, holidays, on-call, or weekends!
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information in patient’s electronic medicalrecord
• Obtain medical histories from patients; verify patient information
• Prepare, assist, and accurately complete all forms
• Support patient care delivery
• Assist providers during examinations and treatment
• Take vital signs and perform all ancillary tests appropriate to skill level, certifications, and state regulations
• Perform ancillary testing and tasks as ordered by the Center Medical Director (PFT, EKG, injections, audiograms, blood draws, etc.) and as certified
• Collects lab Specimens from patients and submits received results to medical providers.
• Schedule clinic appointments, patient check-in and/or out of the clinic, and verify all clinical reminders due at the time of each visit.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma/GED
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant certificate program
• Current MA certification
• Knowledge of computer systems to include the MS Office Suite
• Demonstrate high-quality customer service
• Two yearsof continuous experience in clinical operations or medical office work post externship
• Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association (to be renewed annually)
