Schedule: Full Time

Shift: Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7am-7pm and Saturday 8am-5pm; shifts may vary.

The role you’ll contribute:

Assist physicians in providing medical care to patients of various ages according to individual practice policies, professional standards, and hospital procedures. Adhere to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and all applicable regulations. Help the practice and physicians achieve all meaningful use measures. Support effective customer and superior service standards within hospital and physician office settings. Work under the supervision of the physician and Practice Manager/Office Supervisor.

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments using established guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining examination rooms and treatment areas.

Qualifications:

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• High School Diploma
• 1+ year of related work experience or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with externship
• Basic Life Support or CPR certification
• Current certification maintained through one of the following:
• American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• National Healthcare Association (NHA)
• National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) for NRCMA
• American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
• American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)

Preferred qualifications:

• Over 1 year of experience in the healthcare field, with effective communication skills across all staff levels
