Premise Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a fast‑paced outpatient setting in Seattle. You will interview patients, document vital signs, and prepare exam rooms while maintaining accurate health records.
You will perform injections, labs, EKGs, and assist with procedures, along with front-desk duties such as scheduling and patient flow. A CMA with hands‑on externship and BLS is required.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will provide both clinical and administrative support in a professional outpatient healthcare setting. Responsibilities include:
Interview patients and obtain and document vital signs, including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient health records.
Prepare examination and treatment rooms for patient care.
Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to established procedures.
Administer medications, including injections, within scope of practice and applicable state regulations.
Perform approved laboratory testing and specimen collection.
Operate EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
Assist providers with clinical procedures and patient care as needed.
Provide front-desk and administrative support, including scheduling appointments and assisting with patient flow.
Make patient follow-up calls as directed.
Monitor inventory and order medical and clinical supplies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience required.
National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health-approved organization OR a Certificate/Diploma and transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program that includes a successfully completed hands‑on externship.
Fully online Medical Assistant programs without a hands‑on externship are not accepted.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with hands‑on training through the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or an equivalent healthcare-provider program is required.
Strong clinical skills, including vital signs, injections, laboratory procedures, and EKGs.
Strong communication, organization, and patient-service skills.
Ability to support both clinical and administrative functions in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
