Job summary

CHI St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, Oregon is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our care team.

You will support patients directly, coordinate care, and assist with screenings and clinical procedures, while delivering compassionate patient education and handling key administrative tasks with proficient use of healthcare technology. Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certification from CMA/MA boards listed in requirements.
  • AHA BLS within 90 days of hire.
  • Preferred: Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
  • Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
  • Obtain and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and present illness.
  • May draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration.
  • May perform routine tests including EKGs.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will be a vital pillar of our care team, significantly impacting patient well-being through direct support and seamless coordination.

Every day, you will actively collaborate on comprehensive screenings, assist with clinical procedures, provide essential health education, and expertly manage administrative tasks, leveraging technology to coordinate care for diverse patient populations. You will ensure patients feel at ease, patiently explaining instructions and addressing their concerns.

To be successful in this role, you will possess strong clinical knowledge, technological fluency, genuine compassion for patient well-being, and an adaptable spirit keen on continuous learning and collaborative teamwork.

Non Certified MA: $19.25 - 26.78 (encouraged to apply)

Certified MA: $22.51-31.79

Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One of the following:
    • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
    • Certified Medical Assistant AAMA
    • Certified Medical Assistant NHA
    • National Certified Medical Assistant NCCT
    • National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant NAHP
    • Registered Medical Assistant AMT
    • Registered Medical Assistant
    • Cert Med Asst - MMCI
  • AHA BLS within 90 days of hire
Preferred
  • Medical Assistant experience
