Western North Carolina Community Health Services (WNCCHS) seeks a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to support clinicians at Minnie Jones Health Center in Asheville. Workdays are Mon–Fri, 7:30 am–6 pm; no evenings or weekends.

MAs may earn quarterly bonuses up to $500 for meeting quality and productivity targets. The role requires MA certification, BLS, and outpatient experience; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant, required
• One year experience as Medical Assistant in an outpatient health care setting, preferrable
• Current Basic Life Support Certificate, required
• Experience documenting patient care in an electronic health record
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well in a team
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred

We are looking for a full‑time Certified Medical Assistant for assisting our healthcare professionals at our

Minnie Jones Health Center (MJHC)- 257 Biltmore Ave, Asheville, NC 28801
Our clinics are only open during the day, Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 6 pm.
Therefore, ++MAs are not required to to work evenings, nights, weekends or WNCCHS observed holidays++
We recognize the hard work and initiative of our Medical Assistants (MAs). MAs providing direct patient care may earn a quarterly bonus up to $500 by meeting or exceeding quality and productivity measures.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Medical Assistant, required
• One year experience as Medical Assistant in an outpatient health care setting, preferrable
• Current Basic Life Support Certificate, required
• Experience documenting patient care in an electronic health record
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
