Medical Assistant – Brooklyn, NY

Location: Brooklyn and Manhattan clinics (Graham, Bushwick, Chelsea, 1st Ave, Harlem)

Employment type: Full-time. Hours: 7:00‑7:30 AM and weekends as needed. Salary: $22‑$24 /hr.

Position Summary

As a Medical Assistant, you will balance patient needs, maintain efficient office workflow, and support physicians in all facets of medical procedures before, during, and after.

Position Details

• Registered/Certified Medical Assistant required.
• Cath Lab experience.
• Must speak English and Spanish fluently.
• Availability during specified hours and on weekends.
• Compensation: $22‑$24 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms; assist with forms.
• Familiarize with clinic computer hardware/software and use per company policies.
• Schedule appointments, reschedule, and arrange transportation as needed.
• Perform clerical tasks (copying, filing, faxing, etc.).
• Ensure all patient questions are answered and patient needs are met.
• Maintain procedure rooms neat and ready.
• Assist doctors during Endovenous Laser Therapy procedures per instructions.
• Prepare patients before procedures and clean up afterward.
• Ensure post‑procedure instructions and medication acquisition.
• Monitor and replenish supplies.
• Apply sterile techniques and OSHA regulations.
• Prepare IV solution.
• Train new staff as needed.
• Assist ultrasound staff as needed.
• Transport supplies or equipment as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification required.
• 3+ years of relevant Medical Assistant experience.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Availability on weekends.
• High School diploma or GED.

Compensation & Pay

Base pay range: $45,000‑$50,000 per year. Actual pay based on skills and experience. Hourly compensation: $22‑$24 per hour.
