Job summary

Premise Health is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a fast-paced clinic in Milwaukee. The role requires Epic EMR proficiency, strong patient-care skills, and the ability to work effectively within a healthcare team.

The position is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering 40 hours per week across four 9-hour shifts with an additional 4-hour shift. Phlebotomy experience is preferred, and prior ambulatory care experience is valued.

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a temp-to-perm opportunity. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment, have strong patient-care and organizational skills, and be proficient with Epic.

Schedule

40 hours per week

Four 9-hour shifts: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

One 4-hour shift: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM

Responsibilities

Room patients and obtain/document vital signs and medical histories

Prepare patients for examinations and procedures

Assist providers with patient care, examinations, and minor procedures

Accurately document patient information and clinical encounters in Epic

Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records

Perform routine clinical and administrative Medical Assistant duties

Prepare and maintain examination rooms and clinical supplies

Coordinate patient flow to support efficient clinic operations

Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and other members of the healthcare team

Follow established clinical, safety, and infection-control procedures

Qualifications

Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential

Epic experience required

Phlebotomy experience preferred

Previous experience working in a clinical or ambulatory care setting preferred

Strong communication, organizational, and patient-service skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
