Job summary

Ascension's All Saints Family Care Center in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses in a Family Practice setting. This full-time, daytime role involves patient examinations, recording medical history, vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, and stocking supplies.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date or transfer date required. (American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted)
• One or more of the following required: Medical Assistant credentialed from recognized bodies (NHA/AMT/NCCT/AAMA) prior to hire date or transfer date.
• High School diploma or equivalent or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties.
• Interview patients to record medical history and accurately measure vital signs for charting.
• Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms while ensuring all medical supplies are ordered and stocked.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

What minimum requirements you’ll need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Healthcare Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Registered Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Registry of Medical Assistants also accepted.
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
